On Sunday 1st June, 6 of the Dotty Team are attending a First Aid Course, not just any first aid course though - this one is for dogs!
It is taking place in Riseley, Bedford and starts at 9.30am, going on till 12.30pm.
Reading from the leaflet we are going to be:
· learning up-to-date techniques taught by a Veterinary Professional
· practicing bandaging on 'high quality replica dogs'
· practicing canine CPR on a 'resusci-dog'
· talking about how to deal with situations such as fights, drowning, traffic accidents, poisoning and electrocution
We cant wait, it should be really interesting. We will let you know how it goes and pass on a few tips through the next blog.
If anyone reading this is interested in doing the same then you can call Animal Aiders on 07758 739332.

Its that time of year when our phones don't stop ringing and our pet carers are all getting booked up! Everyone is booking holidays and want their pets well cared for whilst they are away. Thats why we haven't had time to write our blogs as often as we would like. Here is a little update:
We now have 11 pet carers in different areas of Northamptonshire and 7 of these have Boarding Licences with their local council to care for dogs overnight. All our carers offer small animal boarding and most offer all our other services. Please check out the services page.
We now have 38 'regular' clients on our books and many more are registering with us everyday! We even have people coming to us from outside of the county!
This has been a fantastic first year and with your continued support we will enjoy many more years of giving exceptional care to all pets large and small.
I would also like to say a big thank-you to my wonderful team of pet carers who are always enthusiastic and give the very best care to all of your pets.

We will very soon be offering short dog behaviour sessions with one of our pet carers who is also a trained Dog behaviourist - Sue Trueman
We are planning to hold them at our local village hall in Rothersthorpe on a sunday morning (not too early !). Each session will be approx 2 hours long with refreshments included.
They will be suitable for anyone who is either a dog owner, is planning to get a dog/puppy or who works with dogs.
If you are interested in coming along you can either email me or keep checking the blog for the next update when we will have a date set for the first session.
