The First Aid course was great, we recommend it for anyone who has pets or works with animals.
I apparently am very good at bandaging so I was told!! We had a go at mouth to mouth and given lots of information on common dog problems and how to deal with them. Everyone had a really good time.
We will now be able to also make sure all our pet carers have first aid boxes containing appropriate equipment for the pets in their care.
I am sorry we havent been able to write as often as you would like but this is our busiest time of year and the phones just don't stop ringing. We now have bookings for overnight care right into January! and are up to 55 clients.
Our newest dotty team member is Jo Priestley, she lives with her husband, two dogs and three cats in Dallington. Jo is offering dog walking, cat feeding and small animal care, doggie day creche and overnight boarding. She has just completed a canine first aid course at Moulton college and is soon starting a grooming course. She will shortly be offering grooming to all of our Dotty clients.
Many of you have been asking how fostering is going so here s a little update on that.
We currently have Duffy the golden retriever with us who will be going to her new home this weekend. Duffy has been the most frightened dog we have ever seen. She spent the first two days just hiding in the garden the whole time. Slowly she has come round but is still very hand shy and cannot yet be let off lead as she just runs away. Her new owners are a lovely couple who have owned retrievers all their life and are prepared to put in lots of hard work with Duffy to help her learn to trust humans again.
Julia.H and Linda are now both on holiday this week enjoying some much needed sunshine! Im so jealous!
Will update you again soon
